Because we are aristocrats.

Do you ever feel like you are a part of the royal family , or an absolute elitist? Sure I do. And I think that was the feeling we all had when we were at a tea party yesterday, to celebrate the sweet sixteen birthday of my dear babushka, Sarah. For the venue, she choosed to take us to the all-too-fancy Chateau Mcely. The place was beautiful, opulent and just made for nomming on little cakes, strolling around and pretending to be fairies and princesses. Well, at least for one day.

And believe me, it was brilliant in every way. We chated, ate, drank and did a bit of photoshoot magic. And also, on the way back we got lost in a little town that we never know existed, but thats a whole other story.

It makes me sad because I’ve never seen such...such beautiful shirts before.

Sometimes my friends compare me to Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby. And I never know if thats a good thing or not. I mean, she is horribly indifferent and kinda cruel, at least in the way that she plays with Gatsby. But Daisy Buchanan is also an innocent and sort of cutesy, childish character.
Nonetheless, her opulent style will probably never stop inspiring me.

All art is quite useless.

Oh my, this heat! What are we going to do with ourselves today, and for the next thirty years!
But no really, I am here craving the crisp autumn weather, but instead I feel like I am here lying in our garden slowly decaying.
Anyway, recently I´ve gone out with two of my favourite babushkas- James Dean and Ann (omg I need to think of some cool nickname for you). Which was of course, amazing. We sat around and chat with Ann at my place and with Johnny I did a decadent "tour de prague" where we almost accidentally stumbled upon the most fascinating bookshop I have ever been to. Its called "Shakespeare a Synové" which is basically just our humble version of the popular Shakespeare and Co. bookshops in Paris and Berlin.
But its only shame I didnt take any photos of that magical place. But I promise, when I come back (and I will, belive me) I´ll try to document it for you.

And for the occasion I wore the outfit That I am about to show you. I was inspired by the elegant and classic nuances of the dandy movement. And it is not a coincidence that I just recently finished reading The Picture of Dorian Gray in english so I sought to find some answers and drabble in what just had seemingly ended. And for that purpose, I dived into the book I am holding on the photos.
It is by the french author Daniel Salvatore Schiffer and it is a brilliant essay on the subjet of dandysm and its leading figures throughout the years.
It is called "Le Dandysme: La Création De Soi"

Face of the day - going out

Lately,I have been having this kind of melancholy, autumn-y mood. Well, I guess thats because the weather is not as hot and dreadful. Speaking of hot, I´ve also been listening to this...
(btw if you are on 8tracks.com this song is actually on a mix called "Asian Persuasion", that I think, speaks for itself)

Anyway, today I am actually going out with my friend, so I just thought at least, I could post some fotd post.
And btw, are you excited for the autumn season, as much as I am? Because let me tell you, the beauty fall collections that are gonna be coming out are TO DIE FOR.
