REVIEW - Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette

Hello my lovelies, guess what! Today I am finally here to bring you the long awaited (not really) review and some swatch porn of the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette.
But before I get straight into the review, this purchase has a little backstory...

But because I don´t want this to be a Sephora rant, I promise I will keep it short.
Guys, I dunno if you know this, but this palette was supposed to come out in spring. And of course me being me, right after I saw the promo photos on muse, I went out to my local sephora to ask them if they have it, or if they don´t have it yet, when is it going to arrive.
To be honest, I really don´t know what I expected, because surprise surprise, of course they told me that they don´t have it and that they are currently having a lot of problems with their Too Faced supplier (or something like that, who knows).
Three months later after this awful incident, my wishes and prayers finally came true, and I was able to pick this up.

Back to the palette, I must admit, that the first thing that drew me to this one more than to the others, was the packaging. Its just darling! It kinda reminds me of the Naked 2 with its tin-like magnetic box. But compared to the Naked 2, the design of this palette is much cuter! Its has little bows all over the palce and its perfectly girly!

The colour scheme of this little baby is also pretty awesome. It has 3 perfect basic matte shades, 5 shimerry neutrals and one glittery shade.
Each shade in this palette is incredibly pigmented and easily blendable. Just be careful with the shade "Frech Tickler"  which may cause you some fallout.

swatches layered on the essence I love stage eyeshadow base

From left to right:
In The Buff: a matte off-white, gorgeous blending colour
Fuzzy Handcuffs: a matte peachy nude, great neutral all-over-lid colour
Voulez-Vous: a shimmery deep plum (my favourite shade unf)
Satin Sheets: a shimmery pinky nude with golden sheen, great for inner corners
Sugar Walls: sorry forgot to include it in the swatches, a shimmery browned pink
Garter Belt: a matt true grey, gorgeous crease colour
Birthday Suit: a shimmery light beige
Lap Dance: a shimmery taupe
French Tickler: a matt black with chunky gold glitter

To conclude, I would recommend this palette to anyone that loves more of a cool-toned neutral shades. And cute packaging of course!
Another tip, try to snap this up in Palladium, where the hostesses give out little discount cards all the time.

And on a whole different note, this is freaking amazing, you should all check it out.

  1. I always have problems with (non)supplying things to our market. Your story is the one, which ends with happy-ending. I've gotta say, that's quite rare. Pallette looks nice, but I would appreciate a little less mauve undertone. These shades are too cold for me.

    1. Yeah, well for me thats exactly the thing I was looking for. Unfortunately, most neutral shades in the majority of palettes look too warm and kinda weird on me.
